In a message exchanged on Saturday with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee To Lam and Vietnamese President Luong Cuong, Xi emphasized the importance of deepening strategic mutual trust and enhancing practical cooperation between the two nations.

Since establishing diplomatic ties 75 years ago, China and Vietnam have supported each other in their struggles for national independence and liberation. Xi pointed out that the two countries have learned from each other and progressed together in advancing socialism, thereby deepening their comprehensive strategic cooperation.
Recalling his successful visit to Vietnam in 2023, Xi said that both sides pledged to work toward a China-Vietnam community with a shared future, elevating the relations between the two parties and countries to a new stage. \"China and Vietnam share the same ideals and pursue a shared future, which is the most striking feature of the relations between the two parties and countries,\" he remarked.
Amid unprecedented global changes, Xi emphasized that China and Vietnam continuing to follow the path of socialism has significant implications for the future of the two parties and countries, as well as for the global socialist cause, and regional peace, stability, development, and prosperity.
