In messages exchanged with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee To Lam and Vietnamese President Luong Cuong, Xi highlighted the profound friendship between the two socialist neighbors. \"So profound is the friendship between Vietnam and China, because we are both comrades and brothers,\" Xi remarked, underlining the strong ties forged over decades of mutual support and cooperation.
Since establishing diplomatic relations 75 years ago, China and Vietnam have stood side by side, supporting each other in their struggles for national independence and liberation. Xi noted that the two countries have learned from each other in advancing socialism, deepening comprehensive strategic cooperation, and sharing common ideals and futures.
Recalling his successful visit to Vietnam in 2023, Xi stated that both sides pledged to work towards a China-Vietnam community with a shared future, elevating bilateral relations to a new stage. He emphasized that as the world undergoes unprecedented changes, the continued commitment of China and Vietnam to socialism bears significant impact on the future of both nations and the global socialist cause, contributing to regional and global peace, stability, development, and prosperity.
