He highlighted the profound friendship between China and Vietnam, noting that as \"friendly socialist neighbors,\" both countries represent a community with a shared future.
Reflecting on the historical ties, Xi remarked that since the establishment of diplomatic relations 75 years ago, China and Vietnam have supported each other in their struggles for national independence and liberation. He quoted the expression, \"So profound is the friendship between Vietnam and China, because we are both comrades and brothers,\" to illustrate the close bond between the two parties and countries.
In advancing socialism, President Xi noted that China and Vietnam have learned from each other and progressed hand in hand, deepening comprehensive strategic cooperation. He emphasized that sharing the same ideals and pursuing a shared future is the most striking feature of the relations between the two nations.
Recounting his successful visit to Vietnam in 2023, Xi stated that both sides pledged to work towards a China-Vietnam community with a shared future, elevating bilateral relations to a new stage. He pointed out that amid unprecedented global changes, the continued commitment to socialism by China and Vietnam is significant not only for the future of both countries but also for the global socialist cause, and for regional and world peace, stability, development, and prosperity.
