He highlighted the historical bonds forged over decades, noting that both countries have \"fought side by side and supported each other\" in their struggles for national independence and liberation. \"So profound is the friendship between Vietnam and China, because we are both comrades and brothers,\" he added, underscoring the close ties between the two parties and nations.
Xi recalled his successful visit to Vietnam in 2023, during which both sides pledged to elevate their relationship. \"China and Vietnam share the same ideals and pursue a shared future, which is the most striking feature of the relations between our two parties and countries,\" he stated.
Amid unprecedented changes in the world, Xi emphasized the importance of the socialist path both countries are following. \"Continuing to follow in good faith the path of socialism has a bearing on the future of our parties and countries as well as the future of the global socialist cause,\" he said.
