\"China and Vietnam, as friendly socialist neighbors, represent a community with a shared future that carries strategic significance,\" Xi stated. He recalled the history of the two countries supporting each other in their struggles for national independence and liberation, noting that the phrase \"so profound is the friendship between Vietnam and China, because we are both comrades and brothers\" vividly portrays the relations between the two parties and countries.

Highlighting the progress made in advancing socialism, Xi pointed out that both nations have learned from each other and advanced hand in hand, deepening comprehensive strategic cooperation. He stressed that China and Vietnam share the same ideals and pursue a shared future, which is a defining feature of their relationship.

Reflecting on his visit to Vietnam in 2023, Xi noted that both sides pledged to work towards a China-Vietnam community with a shared future of strategic significance, elevating bilateral relations to a new stage. He emphasized that in the face of unprecedented global changes, continued adherence to the socialist path by China and Vietnam is crucial for the future of both nations and has significant implications for regional and global peace, stability, development, and prosperity.

President Xi expressed his willingness to collaborate with Vietnamese leaders during the China-Vietnam Year of People-to-People Exchanges. \"We should keep in mind our original mission and forge ahead on the new journey toward socialist modernization, so as to deliver more benefits to our peoples and make important contributions to revitalizing the world socialist cause,\" he said.
