Chinese President Xi Jinping has expressed his commitment to strengthening ties with Vietnam, aiming to build a China-Vietnam community with a shared future of strategic significance.
On Saturday, Xi, who is also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, exchanged congratulations with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee To Lam and Vietnamese President Luong Cuong on the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties.
Xi stated that China and Vietnam, two friendly socialist neighbors, represent a community with a shared future that carries strategic importance. Since establishing diplomatic relations 75 years ago, both nations have fought side by side and supported each other in their struggles for national independence and liberation.

Recalling his successful visit to Vietnam in 2023, Xi said that both sides pledged to work towards a China-Vietnam community with a shared future of strategic significance, elevating bilateral relations to a new stage.
