Chinese President Xi Jinping has pledged to strengthen ties with Vietnam, emphasizing a shared future as the two nations mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations. In messages exchanged with Vietnamese President Luong Cuong and General Secretary To Lam, Xi expressed readiness to deepen strategic mutual trust and enhance practical cooperation.

\"China and Vietnam, two friendly socialist neighbors, represent a community with a shared future that carries strategic significance,\" Xi said. Since establishing diplomatic ties 75 years ago, the two countries have \"fought side by side and supported each other\" in their struggles for national independence and liberation.

Xi highlighted the profound friendship between the two nations, noting that \"we are both comrades and brothers.\" He underscored that in advancing socialism, China and Vietnam have learned from each other and progressed hand in hand, deepening their comprehensive strategic cooperation.

Recalling his successful visit to Vietnam in 2023, Xi stated that both sides pledged to build a China-Vietnam community with a shared future, elevating bilateral relations to a new stage. He emphasized that amid unprecedented global changes, the continued commitment of China and Vietnam to the path of socialism bears significance not only for their own futures but also for peace, stability, development, and prosperity in the region and the world.

Xi expressed his dedication to advancing bilateral relations and working with Vietnamese leaders during the China-Vietnam Year of People-to-People Exchanges. He encouraged both nations to \"keep in mind the original mission and forge ahead on the new journey toward socialist modernization,\" aiming to deliver greater benefits to their peoples and contribute to the revitalization of the global socialist cause and human progress.
