Marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations, Xi noted that China and Vietnam, as friendly socialist neighbors, represent a community with strategic importance. \"Since the establishment of diplomatic ties 75 years ago, the two sides have fought side by side and supported each other in their struggle for national independence and liberation,\" Xi said. He emphasized that the phrase \"So profound is the friendship between Vietnam and China, because we are both comrades and brothers\" vividly portrays the relations between the two parties and countries.
Xi acknowledged the mutual learning and joint advancement in pursuing socialism, which has deepened comprehensive strategic cooperation. He pointed out that China and Vietnam share the same ideals and pursue a shared future, which is the most striking feature of their bilateral relations.
Reflecting on his successful visit to Vietnam in 2023, Xi stated that both sides pledged to work towards a China-Vietnam community with a shared future that carries strategic significance, elevating the relations between the two parties and countries to a new stage.
