Xi, who is also the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, highlighted the profound friendship between China and Vietnam, stating that the two socialist neighbors represent a community with a shared destiny. \"Since the establishment of diplomatic ties 75 years ago, the two sides have fought side by side and supported each other in their struggle for national independence and liberation,\" Xi remarked. He added that the phrase \"So profound is the friendship between Vietnam and China, because we are both comrades and brothers\" vividly portrays the strong relations between the two parties and countries.
Reflecting on his successful visit to Vietnam in 2023, Xi noted that both sides pledged to work towards a China-Vietnam community with a shared future, elevating the relations between the two parties and countries to a new stage. He pointed out that as the world undergoes unprecedented changes, China and Vietnam's continued commitment to socialism bears significance not only for their own futures but also for the global socialist cause, regional peace, stability, development, and prosperity.
