\"China and Vietnam, as friendly socialist neighbors, represent a community with a shared future that carries strategic significance,\" Xi stated. He highlighted the profound friendship forged over 75 years, noting that both countries have supported each other in their struggles for national independence and liberation. \"So profound is the friendship between Vietnam and China, because we are both comrades and brothers,\" he added.
Xi recalled his successful visit to Vietnam in 2023, where both sides pledged to work towards building a China-Vietnam community with a shared future. He noted that their continued cooperation in advancing socialism has deepened comprehensive strategic collaboration between the two parties and countries.
Amid unprecedented global changes, Xi underlined the significance of China and Vietnam adhering to the path of socialism. \"Continuing to follow in good faith the path of socialism has a bearing on the future of the two parties and countries as well as the future of the global socialist cause,\" he said. He stressed that this cooperation is of great importance to the peace, stability, development, and prosperity of the region and the world at large.
