The Prelude to the Spring Festival Gala, a special event organized by China Media Group (CMG), unfolded in New York, United States, on Thursday. The event brought the vibrant spirit of the upcoming Lunar New Year to the heart of the city, marking a celebratory prelude to one of China’s most significant traditional festivals.
Shen Haixiong, vice minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and president of CMG, addressed the gathering via video link. In his speech, Shen emphasized the importance of cultural exchange and the shared joy that festivities like the Spring Festival bring to people around the world.
The gala attracted nearly 200 guests, including envoys and diplomats to the United Nations from countries such as Denmark, Greece, Pakistan, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Nicaragua, Cuba, and the Maldives.
