Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang is set to attend the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, and will also visit Switzerland and the Netherlands from January 19 to 24, according to a statement from the Chinese Foreign Ministry issued on Friday.
Ding, who is also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, will embark on this European trip at the invitation of Klaus Schwab, founder and chairman of the Board of Trustees of the WEF, as well as the governments of Switzerland and the Netherlands.
The WEF annual meeting in Davos is a significant global platform where world leaders, business executives, and academics gather to discuss pressing international issues and collaborate on solutions. Ding’s participation underscores China’s commitment to engaging with the global community on economic and social development.
