Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has praised the global progress made towards building a community with a shared future for mankind, noting the transformation of the concept from an initiative into a global consensus and practical action driving positive change worldwide.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the Research Center on Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind in Beijing on Thursday, Wang Yi, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, emphasized the significant theoretical value and far-reaching influence of this vision.
“Building a community with a shared future for mankind is China’s answer to the question of ‘what kind of world to build and how to build it,'” Wang stated. He highlighted that the concept carries profound theoretical significance, addresses contemporary global challenges, and exerts a growing impact on international relations.
According to Wang, the vision reflects the CPC’s founding mission, upholds the rich traditions of Chinese culture, demonstrates the strength of scientific theories, and articulates China’s stance amid unprecedented global changes. He noted that the initiative has been gaining momentum and recognition on the world stage.
“At present, dozens of countries and regions are collaborating with China in various forms to build a community with a shared future,” Wang said. He added that the concept has been incorporated into numerous United Nations General Assembly resolutions and multilateral documents, signifying its global resonance and acceptance.
Wang Yi’s remarks underscore China’s commitment to fostering international cooperation and mutual development. The establishment of the new research center marks a significant step in promoting dialogue and understanding towards a more interconnected and harmonious world.
