With the rapid advancement of China’s internet industry, media organizations at various levels are leveraging online platforms to boost quality and efficiency. They are adjusting production and consumption structures and driving industry growth through the adoption of AI technology, the report noted.

As of May 2024, China had 3,606 internet news information service units offering 14,228 licensed services, including 1,912 websites, 3,294 applications, and 8,862 public accounts. This significant presence underscores the extensive digital landscape of China’s news media sector.
