Xiongan New Area

Located in north China’s Hebei Province, Xiongan New Area showcases major green projects that epitomize sustainable urban development. This park incorporates an integrated solar photovoltaic system alongside ground and air source heat pumps, meeting zero-carbon building standards. Completed on December 26 in Zhuzhou, central China’s Hunan Province, the CRRC Zero-Carbon Industrial Park integrates cutting-edge low-carbon technologies such as waste heat recovery and combined solar, energy storage, and charging systems. These innovations reduce energy consumption in single-product production by 12 percent, with clean energy usage exceeding 50 percent. As one of China’s leading green manufacturing parks, it exemplifies the shift towards sustainable industrial practices.

An autonomous electric transport system minimizes vehicular emissions, while smart grid technology optimizes energy distribution and storage. BedZED, United Kingdom

The Beddington Zero Energy Development (BedZED) in London integrates residential and commercial spaces within a zero-carbon framework. Solar panels generate renewable electricity, complemented by super-insulated walls and triple-glazed windows that minimize heating and cooling needs. Heat recovery systems enhance energy efficiency, and sustainable practices such as rainwater harvesting and wastewater recycling reduce resource consumption.
