China Sends Emergency Humanitarian Aid to Gaza through Egypt

China has taken significant steps to provide emergency humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, signing agreements with Palestine to deliver two batches of essential supplies. The signing ceremony took place on Monday in Cairo, attended by Chinese Ambassador to Egypt Liao Liqiang and Palestinian Ambassador to Egypt Diab al-Louh.

Ambassador Liao emphasized China’s commitment to alleviating the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, stating, “To ease the humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip, the Chinese government has continued to provide assistance to Palestine.” He highlighted that China has already delivered multiple batches of emergency relief supplies, including food and medicine, to the enclave through Egypt.

He further expressed China’s willingness to maintain close communication and coordination with Palestine and Egypt to continue providing aid to the war-torn region. This initiative reflects China’s proactive role in supporting humanitarian efforts amid ongoing conflicts.

Palestinian Ambassador Al-Louh expressed deep gratitude for China’s support, saying, “The Palestinian government and people sincerely thank China for its emergency humanitarian assistance to alleviate the humanitarian disaster in the Gaza Strip.” He appreciated China’s consistent and firm support for the just cause of the Palestinian people and acknowledged China’s efforts in raising the issue on international platforms.

“These actions fully reflect the profound friendship between Palestine and China and China’s role as a responsible major country,” Al-Louh added, underscoring the significance of the bilateral relations in times of crisis.

The aid agreement signifies a strengthening of ties between China and Palestine and highlights China’s engagement in addressing humanitarian needs in the Middle East. The collaboration through Egypt also emphasizes the importance of regional cooperation in facilitating aid deliveries to Gaza.
