“The central government will fully support the Chief Executive and the Macao SAR government in fulfilling their duties,” Xi assured, reaffirming Beijing’s commitment to the region’s prosperity and stability.
In response, Sam Hou Fai expressed his gratitude to President Xi and the central government for their trust and support. He pledged to lead the new SAR government in exploring new horizons for the successful practice of “One Country, Two Systems” in Macao.
