The China Coast Guard (CCG) has called on the Philippines to immediately halt its infringements and provocations following the alleged illegal intrusion of a Philippine aircraft into the airspace over China’s Huangyan Dao on Thursday.
CCG spokesperson Liu Dejun emphasized the sovereignty of Huangyan Dao, stating, “Huangyan Dao has always been part of China’s territory. The Philippines’ moves seriously violate China’s sovereignty and could easily lead to unexpected incidents at sea or in the air.”
The incident has raised concerns about regional stability and the potential for unintended conflicts. Observers note the importance of diplomatic dialogue in resolving such disputes to maintain peace and security in the area.
