Macao is set to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its return to China with a grand gala on Thursday evening. The event will be broadcast live at 8 p.m. across multiple China Media Group (CMG) TV channels, radio frequencies, and new media platforms, allowing audiences worldwide to join in the festivities.
The gala will feature actors and performance teams from various walks of life within the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), showcasing the region’s rich cultural diversity. Under the theme “Celebrating Together and Creating a Better Future,” the event is divided into three chapters: “Macao Welcomes You,” “Sailing the Greater Bay Area,” and “The Most Beautiful Chinese Heart.”
These performances aim to highlight the strong bonds between Macao residents and the Chinese mainland over the past 25 years, reflecting on the successes of the “One Country, Two Systems” policy. The gala is a testament to the positive relationship and collaborative spirit that has flourished since Macao’s return.
Jointly organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR government and CMG’s Arts Program Center, the gala promises an evening of inspiring performances that celebrate unity, culture, and a shared vision for the future.
