A senior national tea taster joined forces with two Chinese aesthetic content creators to immerse themselves in the elegant tea rituals that have shaped Chinese culture for centuries.
During the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), tea culture underwent a profound transformation. Moving away from the elaborate brewing methods of previous eras, the Ming Dynasty embraced simplicity. Tea enthusiasts began boiling water in kettles, steeping loose-leaf tea in clay teapots, and savoring the infusion in small cups designed to enhance the tea’s delicate aroma. This minimalist approach allowed the natural essence of the tea leaves to shine, highlighting their inherent flavors and fragrances.
