In a groundbreaking discovery at the Terracotta Warriors’ pit number 2 in Xi’an City, northwest China’s Shaanxi Province, archaeologists have unearthed significant artifacts that shed new light on the chariot troop structure of the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BCE).
On Monday, the excavation team uncovered the remains of two chariots along with three terracotta horses and three terracotta figurines. By Tuesday, further analysis allowed the team to confirm the identities of the unearthed figurines.
Zhu Sihong, the project leader of the pit number 2 excavation, explained the significance of these findings. \
