President Xi Jinping Calls for New Achievements in China’s Modernization
At a commemorative event marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of esteemed former legislator Qiao Shi, President Xi Jinping urged for unwavering efforts to achieve new milestones in China’s journey toward building a modern socialist nation that meets the people’s expectations and withstands the test of history.
Addressing a distinguished gathering at the Great Hall of the People on Monday, President Xi, who is also the general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, highlighted the enduring legacy of Qiao Shi. He called upon Party members and citizens alike to draw inspiration from Qiao’s noble character, steadfast beliefs, and dedicated service to the nation’s ideals.
