A vibrant flower exhibition themed “Melody of Return” has opened to the public in Taipa, the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), marking the 25th anniversary of Macao’s return to China.
The exhibition, which runs until January 5, 2025, invites visitors to immerse themselves in a spectacular display of colors and scents. At the heart of the event, a stunning array of Dahlias takes center stage, their dazzling hues complemented by a rich variety of other blossoms.
An ancient lotus boat landscape pays homage to Macao’s maritime trade origins, symbolizing the city’s deep-rooted Chinese cultural heritage. The boat, adorned with lotus flowers, reflects the historical significance of Macao as a cultural and commercial bridge between East and West.
A melody sign situated at the core of the display showcases Macao’s unique artistic atmosphere and multicultural charm, resonating with the city’s blend of traditions and modernity.
Local residents and visitors have expressed delight at the breathtaking floral spectacle. “It’s a beautiful tribute to our city’s heritage and a joyous way to celebrate this important milestone,” said one resident.
As Macao approaches the 25th anniversary on December 20, festive decorations have adorned various locations throughout the region, enhancing the celebratory atmosphere and highlighting the SAR’s dynamic spirit.
