In a vibrant celebration of culture and unity, the UniTea: Macao Tea Melody event was held at Beijing International Sculpture Park to mark the 25th anniversary of Macao’s return to China. Organized by CGTN and CRI Online, the event brought together tea enthusiasts from around the globe, using the universal language of tea to bridge cultures and foster connections.

The park buzzed with excitement as attendees experienced a rich tapestry of tea traditions. From traditional Chinese tea ceremonies to interactive workshops, the event highlighted the profound role tea plays in cultural exchange and mutual understanding.

“Tea has always been a symbol of harmony and peace,” remarked one of the organizers from CGTN. “Through this event, we aim to celebrate Macao’s unique heritage and its role in connecting the East and West, just as tea connects people across different cultures.”

The atmosphere was filled with melodies as performers graced the stage with musical acts that blended traditional Macao influences with contemporary styles. These performances underscored the region’s dynamic cultural landscape and its ongoing evolution since returning to China 25 years ago.

Participants expressed appreciation for the opportunity to engage with diverse tea cultures. “It’s incredible to see how tea brings people together,” said a visitor from overseas. “Events like this deepen our appreciation for each other’s traditions and histories.”

The UniTea: Macao Tea Melody event not only celebrated a significant milestone in Macao’s history but also exemplified the power of cultural events in promoting international friendship and understanding. As the festivities concluded, attendees left with not just the taste of fine teas but also cherished memories of shared experiences and newfound connections.
