China is intensifying its reform efforts aimed at enhancing the lives of its people. As the annual Central Economic Work Conference approaches in December, experts anticipate that discussions will not only focus on economic growth but also on improving lives and boosting people’s sense of fulfillment through further reforms.
In July, the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) adopted a resolution to comprehensively deepen reforms to advance Chinese modernization. The resolution pledges to ensure and enhance the people’s well-being by improving the income distribution system, prioritizing employment policies, and strengthening the social security system.
The CPC has also committed to further reforming the medical and healthcare systems and creating a “birth-friendly society.” These initiatives aim to address the needs of the population and promote social stability and prosperity.
With these significant reforms on the horizon, the upcoming Central Economic Work Conference is expected to chart a course that prioritizes the well-being of the Chinese people, ensuring that economic growth translates into tangible improvements in people’s lives.
