China Coast Guard Condemns Philippines for Provocations in South China Sea

China’s Coast Guard has issued a strong condemnation of the Philippines over recent incidents in the South China Sea, accusing Manila of provocative actions that threaten regional stability.

On Wednesday, the Philippines deployed multiple vessels into waters claimed by China, specifically around Huangyan Dao and Xianbin Jiao, which are part of Nansha Qundao, according to China Coast Guard spokesperson Liu Dejun.

“These actions severely violated China’s territorial sovereignty, went against the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea, and undermined regional peace and stability,” Liu said in a statement released on Thursday.

Liu urged the Philippines to “immediately stop all forms of infringement and inflammatory actions” to maintain peace in the region.

The South China Sea has long been a focal point of territorial disputes, with multiple countries asserting claims over various islands and maritime areas. The latest tensions underscore the challenges faced in promoting dialogue and stability in the area.
