China’s railway network has achieved a historic milestone by transporting over 4 billion passengers in the first 11 months of 2024, according to China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. (China Railway). The modern railway network continues to grow at a remarkable pace. The total railway operating mileage has exceeded 160,000 kilometers, with high-speed railways accounting for over 46,000 kilometers. Over 3,300 railway passenger stations have been constructed and are now operational nationwide, including more than 1,300 high-speed railway stations. These stations have become vital hubs that connect cities and towns, making travel more convenient and accessible for millions of people.
