China Coast Guard Lawfully Controls Philippine Vessels Near Huangyan Dao

In a recent development around Huangyan Dao, the China Coast Guard (CCG) announced on Wednesday that it lawfully managed the situation involving four Philippine vessels attempting to enter Chinese territorial waters. The incident underscores the ongoing maritime vigilance exercised by the Chinese authorities in the region.

Liu Dejun, spokesperson for the CCG, reported that four Philippine coast guard and official vessels made attempts to intrude into the waters off Huangyan Dao. “The vessels approached Chinese law enforcement patrol ships in a dangerous manner,” Liu stated, emphasizing the potential risks posed by such actions.

“The Chinese side exercised control over the vessels in accordance with the law and regulations,” Liu added, highlighting the CCG’s commitment to upholding maritime sovereignty and ensuring safety in the contested area.
