As most parts of China anticipate a gradual rise in temperatures starting Thursday, the northeastern regions are preparing for a different forecast. According to the National Meteorological Centre, northeastern China is still expecting snow, with some areas bracing for heavy snow or even blizzard conditions.
In contrast, the central part of northern China is expected to see maximum temperatures reach 10 degrees Celsius over the weekend. Meanwhile, many locations in southern China are forecasted to experience temperatures that will reach or exceed 20 degrees Celsius.
Since Tuesday, several areas in northeast China’s Jilin and Heilongjiang provinces have experienced a sharp temperature drop of more than 10 degrees Celsius. This significant decline signals the onset of severe winter weather in these regions.
The contrasting weather patterns highlight the vast climatic diversity across China, presenting varied conditions for residents, businesses, and travelers throughout the country.
Authorities advise residents in the northeastern regions to prepare for the upcoming snow and low temperatures, ensuring safety and readiness for the winter conditions ahead.
