Global Leaders Converge at 2nd China International Supply Chain Expo in Beijing

The second China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), the world’s first national-level exhibition focused on supply chains, opened on Tuesday in Beijing. The event serves as a comprehensive platform for business matchmaking and investment opportunities, fostering collaboration across a diverse range of industries.

Under the theme “Connecting the World for a Shared Future,” this year’s expo emphasizes the interconnected nature of global supply chains. The exhibition zones are thoughtfully organized to showcase key processes from upstream to downstream, highlighting the seamless integration of various sectors.

Many exhibitors are displaying their products alongside upstream and downstream partners, underscoring the collaborative efforts that drive innovation and efficiency in supply chain management. This arrangement provides visitors with a holistic view of the entire supply chain ecosystem.

Expanding Global Participation

The 2024 CISCE, running until November 30, brings together over 620 companies and institutions from around the world. Over 60 percent of the exhibitors are Fortune 500 companies and industry leaders, reflecting the expo’s significant influence in the global market.

This year’s event sees a 20 percent increase in participants compared to last year, with strong representation from the United States, Europe, Japan, and Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) partners. The percentage of overseas exhibitors has risen from 26 percent to 32 percent, with nearly equal participation from Europe and the U.S., along with over 40 BRI partner countries.

The growing international presence at the expo highlights the increasing importance of global cooperation in supply chain development. Participants are eager to explore new opportunities for innovation, trade, and investment within the global supply chain ecosystems.

As the CISCE continues to promote international collaboration, it reinforces Beijing’s role as a central hub for global supply chain networking and development. The expo not only fosters business connections but also contributes to the shared future envisioned by its theme.
