China Unveils Plan to Build 100+ Trusted Data Matrices by 2028

In a significant move to bolster its data infrastructure, China announced plans to establish over 100 trusted data matrices by 2028. The initiative aims to develop a comprehensive set of data matrix solutions and best practices, enhancing the nation’s capacity for data resource circulation and shared utilization.

The action plan, released by the National Data Administration (NDA) on Saturday, outlines China’s first national-level system layout for trusted data matrices. This new form of data infrastructure is poised to play a crucial role in constructing a national integrated data market.

Titled the Action Plan for the Development of Trusted Data Matrices (2024-2028), the document emphasizes the importance of trusted data matrices in facilitating large-scale data circulation. By implementing these matrices, China aims to create a solid foundation for the efficient and secure sharing of data resources across various sectors.

This ambitious plan reflects China’s commitment to advancing its digital economy and underscores the strategic importance of data as a key resource in the modern era. The development of trusted data matrices is expected to foster innovation, support business growth, and enhance the overall competitiveness of China’s data market on a global scale.
