Sha Xiaolan, the chief director of the opening ceremony, shared insights with China media Gorup (CMG) about the meticulously planned event. “The ceremony will span about two hours, divided into three parts,” Sha explained. “Each ethnic minority delegation will present a 30-second performance, which is one of the major highlights.”

The performances are set to captivate audiences with a fusion of traditional elements and modern technology. “Various local features of Hainan, including the province’s beaches, islands, and coconut forests, will be displayed through unique designs, blending creative ideas with digital technology,” Sha added.

Emphasizing the significance of the event, Sha remarked, “It’s a signature of ethnic minorities. Although each delegation’s performance is short, everyone has been striving to make it a great highlight. Special effects will feature the numbers 56 and 12, representing China’s 56 ethnic groups and the 12th edition of the Games. The opening ceremony will deliver unique excellence, and it will be worth your time.”
