The launch ceremony for the third season of the Portuguese-language version of “The Classic Quotes by Xi Jinping” took place a day after President Xi arrived in Brasília, the capital of Brazil, for a state visit. The timing underscores the strengthening cultural ties between China and Brazil.
Geraldo Alckmin, Vice President and Minister of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services of Brazil, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. Over 200 guests from sectors including politics, economics, culture, media, and academia were present, reflecting the broad interest in the program.
The third season focuses on themes such as a community with a shared future for mankind, cultural inheritance and innovation, biodiversity conservation, and exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations. By selecting President Xi’s speeches and the ancient Chinese classics he references, the program elaborates on Chinese stories and wisdom, highlighting President Xi’s exceptional political insight and profound historical and cultural knowledge.
