President Xi emphasized that China-Brazil relations are at their highest point in history. “We have jointly decided to elevate our ties to a China-Brazil community with a shared future for a more just world and a more sustainable planet,” he stated.

Both presidents agreed on the importance of continually deepening strategic mutual trust and supporting each other on core interests involving sovereignty, security, and development. They pledged to contribute to each other’s high-quality development.

In aligning their countries’ development strategies, Xi and Lula committed to deepening cooperation in priority areas such as economy and trade, finance, science and technology, infrastructure, and environmental protection. They also agreed to strengthen collaboration in emerging fields including energy transition, the digital economy, artificial intelligence, and green mining.

The leaders expressed their intention to maintain close cooperation in multilateral forums such as the United Nations, the G20, and BRICS. They aimed to jointly tackle traditional and non-traditional security challenges like hunger and poverty, regional conflicts, climate change, and cybersecurity, contributing to global peace and development.

Expressing concerns over conflicts in Gaza and Ukraine, President Xi stressed the need for a vision of common, comprehensive, cooperative, and sustainable security to find a path to universal security. He called for more voices committed to peace to pave the way for a political solution to the Ukraine crisis.
