President Xi pledges China-Peru partnership to champion true multilateralism

In a signed article published Thursday in Peruvian media outlet El Peruano, Chinese President Xi Jinping declared China’s readiness to work with Peru to champion true multilateralism. As he travels to Lima for the 31st APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting and a state visit to Peru, President Xi emphasized the importance of strengthening the China-Peru partnership to promote an equal and orderly multipolar world and foster a universally beneficial and inclusive economic globalization.

Titled “China-Peru Friendship: Setting Sail Toward an Even Brighter Future,” the article highlights the significant juncture at which humanity stands. “The world is undergoing faster transformation unseen in a century, and humanity has again come to a crossroads in history,” President Xi noted.

He expressed China’s willingness to collaborate with Peru in jointly implementing the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, and the Global Civilization Initiative. This collaboration aims to build a community with a shared future for mankind, enhancing mutual prosperity and stability.

President Xi’s visit underscores the deepening ties between China and Peru and reflects a shared commitment to addressing global challenges through cooperation and mutual respect.
