Xi Jinping Departs Beijing for APEC Leaders’ Meeting and State Visit to Peru

Chinese President Xi Jinping departed Beijing on Wednesday, embarking on a significant journey to Peru. President Xi will attend the 31st Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting in the Peruvian capital, Lima, and conduct a state visit to the country from November 13 to 17.

Accompanying President Xi are Cai Qi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, and Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and foreign minister.

The APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting provides a vital platform for member economies to discuss regional economic growth, cooperation, trade, and investment. President Xi's participation underscores China's commitment to fostering strong ties within the Asia-Pacific region.

During his state visit, Xi Jinping is expected to engage in talks aimed at deepening bilateral relations between China and Peru. The visit marks an important milestone in strengthening economic and diplomatic cooperation between the two nations.
