The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force is celebrating its 75th anniversary on November 11 with a series of spectacular activities at the 15th Airshow China in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province.
According to Senior Colonel Xie Peng, spokesperson for the PLA Air Force, the celebrations will feature flight performances, static equipment displays, and themed military music performances, among other events.
The Air Force is showcasing 36 types of equipment for flight and ground static displays. The renowned Bayi Aerobatic Team and Red Eagle Aerobatic Team will perform with a total of 26 aircraft of seven different types, including the cutting-edge J-20 and J-16 fighter jets and the YY-20A.
The Red Eagle Aerobatic Team has brought nine JL-8 aircraft to the airshow, comprising eight performance aircraft and one backup. They have prepared three sets of over 20 aerobatic maneuvers, designed to adapt to varying weather conditions for this year’s show.
The performances are expected to captivate aviation enthusiasts, industry professionals, and visitors from around the world, highlighting the advancement and prowess of the Chinese Air Force over the past 75 years.
