The China Coast Guard (CCG) announced on Sunday its intention to bolster patrols and enforce law more rigorously in the territorial waters surrounding Huangyan Dao and adjacent areas. This decision comes amid escalating tensions over disputed maritime territories.
In a statement released on its official social media account, the CCG emphasized that Huangyan Dao is an inherent part of China’s territory. The agency stated that China has long exercised sovereignty and jurisdiction over the area in a continuous, peaceful, and effective manner.
