Chinese President Xi Jinping has called for intensified troop training and enhanced combat preparedness to build a strong and modernized airborne force. During his inspection of an airborne corps of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) in Xiaogan, Hubei Province, on Monday, Xi emphasized the importance of improving airborne operation capabilities.

President Xi called for intensifying joint training with other branches of the armed forces and increasing capabilities for joint command, operations, and support.
