Chinese President Xi Jinping has called for intensified troop training and enhanced combat preparedness to build a strong and modernized airborne force. During his inspection of an airborne corps of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) in Xiaogan, Hubei Province, on Monday, Xi emphasized the importance of improving airborne operation capabilities.
While examining the equipment used in airborne operations, Xi learned about the tactical performance of key weapons and gear. He acknowledged the positive developments achieved in recent years and urged further efforts to develop a new system of airborne equipment.

President Xi called for intensifying joint training with other branches of the armed forces and increasing capabilities for joint command, operations, and support. He underscored the necessity of fostering new combat capacities and leveraging cutting-edge technological advancements to empower the development of the airborne corps.
