‘Feel China’ Cultural Days Kick Off in Mongolia, Celebrating 75 Years of Diplomatic Ties

In a vibrant celebration of Sino-Mongolian friendship, the “Feel China” cultural days officially commenced on Monday in Ulan Bator, the capital of Mongolia. The event series aims to deepen people-to-people and cultural exchanges between China and Mongolia, marking the 75th anniversary of their diplomatic relations.

Co-organized by the Chinese Embassy in Mongolia, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth of Mongolia, and the Information Office of the People’s Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the five-day festival showcases the rich cultural heritage of Inner Mongolia.

The opening ceremony welcomed esteemed guests from both nations, including Jiang Xinhui, director of the Information Office of the People’s Government of Inner Mongolia; Zhang Muxing, acting ambassador and minister counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Mongolia; and Adiyasuren Davaajargal, state secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth of Mongolia.

Davaajargal expressed optimism that the events would further enhance cultural ties and promote cross-border tourism. “We hope that these cultural days will strengthen the bonds between our peoples and open new avenues for mutual understanding,” she remarked.

Highlighting Inner Mongolia’s role as a bridge between the two countries, Jiang noted, “As neighbors, we have leveraged our geographical and cultural proximity to foster cooperation in economic exchanges, cultural collaborations, healthcare initiatives, and ecological conservation.”

“With our joint efforts, the ‘Feel China’ event has been successfully held in Mongolia for many consecutive years,” Jiang added. “We have consistently adhered to our mission of promoting people-to-people exchanges and strengthening friendship, allowing Mongolian friends to better understand China and Inner Mongolia.”

The festival features a diverse array of activities, including Shaolin martial arts performances, the inauguration of a Chinese book reading classroom at a Mongolian university, free health check-ups, and screenings of Chinese movies on Mongolian television and in cinemas. These events aim to provide Mongolian audiences with an immersive experience of Chinese culture and traditions.
