Staying in hotels across various cities, they noticed that the Wi-Fi password was often set as eight consecutive number eights: “88888888.” Curious about this repetition, they learned that the number eight is considered highly auspicious in Chinese culture, symbolizing wealth and good fortune.
Embracing this cultural significance, and coinciding with the release of their eighth album, the band decided to name their new record “88888888.” They hope that this lucky number will not only bring prosperity to their music but also pay homage to the rich cultural experiences they enjoyed during their tour.
