Indonesian Teen’s Dragon Kite Painting Wins Global Art Prize

Painted with bold acrylics on canvas, a mesmerizing dragon-shaped kite soars above Shanghai’s skyline, gracefully hovering over the Oriental Pearl Tower. This captivating artwork is the creation of 14-year-old Titan Nayaka Sradha from Indonesia, who beautifully melds tradition with modernity.

For Titan, the dragon symbolizes strength and heritage, while the dragon kite represents cultural legacy and the aspiration to reach new horizons—much like China’s innovative advancements. The rising wind in his painting embodies the country’s growth and forward momentum.

“I tried to connect the traditional symbol of the dragon with the modern aspirations of China’s vision for the future,” the young artist shared.

Titan’s insightful portrayal earned him the Third Prize in the “China Through My Eyes” Global Children’s Art Project. His artwork not only showcases his artistic talent but also reflects a deep understanding of cultural connections and future aspirations.

Congratulations to Titan Nayaka Sradha for his outstanding achievement!
