The China Manned Space Agency announced on Tuesday that the Shenzhou-18 crew is scheduled to return to Earth on November 4. The crew will land at the Dongfeng landing site in north China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region after completing an in-orbit handover with the incoming Shenzhou-19 crew.
Crew members Ye Guangfu, Li Cong, and Li Guangsu, who began their mission in April, are reportedly in good health and are preparing for their return. During their time aboard the space station, they have completed critical tasks such as in-orbit data clearing and transmission, inventory counting, and sorting.
Throughout their mission, the crew advanced various scientific experiments in fields including space materials science, microgravity fluid physics, and combustion science. They also conducted in-orbit training for rendezvous and docking procedures, contributing valuable research and development to China’s space exploration efforts.
The successful return of the Shenzhou-18 crew marks another milestone in China’s ambitious space program, demonstrating continued progress in manned spaceflight and scientific innovation.
