At just nine years old, Wang Yaqi from China has captured the imagination of many with her vivid and enchanting artwork titled “Chinese Dream.” In her piece, auspicious clouds drift across the sky alongside a brightly colored, handcrafted swallow kite. Vibrant lanterns sway above, accompanied by tall, lush bamboo standing strong below. Ethnic fabrics with intricate patterns and iconic tiger and fish elements add bursts of cultural flair. Together, these elements weave a rich tapestry that brings her dream of China to life.
Judges praised Yaqi’s work, noting, “The colors in the artwork are bright and harmonious, with a clever arrangement of symbols rich in Chinese elements. The pairing of the swallow kite and cloud patterns is particularly well-coordinated. The depiction of the children is lively and vibrant, and the composition feels full and balanced, clearly conveying the central theme.”
Congratulations to Yaqi for winning the First Prize in the “China Through My Eyes” Global Children’s Art Project!
