China Firmly Opposes U.S. Adding Chinese Entities to Export Control Lists

China has expressed strong dissatisfaction and firm opposition to the United States’ recent decision to add several Chinese entities to its export-control “entity list” and “unverified list.” A spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Commerce made the statement on Monday, emphasizing the negative impact of such actions on global trade and industry.

The spokesperson noted that China has taken note of the U.S. action, which involves adding six Chinese entities to the “entity list” and three to the “unverified list” based on so-called military and Iran-related issues. Such measures, according to the spokesperson, represent an abuse of export control measures and a generalization of the concept of national security.

“The United States has long sanctioned and suppressed enterprises from other countries, including China,” the spokesperson stated. “These actions have seriously damaged the legitimate rights and interests of these enterprises and undermined the security and stability of global industrial and supply chains.”

The Ministry of Commerce called on the U.S. to “immediately stop its wrongdoing,” urging a cessation of practices that hinder fair trade and international cooperation. The spokesperson added that China will take necessary measures to resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of its enterprises.
