China’s Top Hospitals Showcase Medical Innovations at WHX2026 in Dubai

The 2026 World Health Expo (WHX) concluded in Dubai on February 12, marking a milestone for China's healthcare sector as its leading hospitals debuted cutting-edge technologies on the global stage. Over 4,300 exhibitors from 180 countries and regions participated in the four-day event, with China's medical pavilion emerging as a focal point for innovation.

Middle East Embraces 'Made in China' Medical Tech

Ren Fang, deputy secretary-general of the China Association of Medical Equipment, revealed that Chinese medical exports to 16 Middle Eastern nations reached $2.2 billion in 2025, reflecting a 10 percent year-on-year growth. "Our AI-driven diagnostic systems and portable imaging devices now equip 60 percent of Saudi Arabia's major hospitals," Fang told attendees during a keynote address.

Smart Hospital Solutions Steal the Spotlight

Peking University Health Science Center led China's delegation with six affiliated hospitals demonstrating integrated smart systems. Executive Vice President Qiao Jie highlighted international interest in their predictive data modeling platforms: "Our trauma response algorithms, trained on 15 million patient cases, can reduce emergency room decision time by 40 percent."

The showcase included live demonstrations of surgical robots capable of remote operation and biodegradable implants that monitor healing progress. These innovations align with growing Middle Eastern demand for telemedicine solutions in remote areas.
