Abu Dhabi Hosts Global Energy Summit as Sustainability Week Concludes

The Future Energy World Summit 2026 concluded on January 15 in Abu Dhabi, marking a pivotal moment for global sustainable energy dialogue. Held during the emirate’s annual Sustainability Week, the event drew over 50,000 attendees and 450 companies, including major Asian renewable energy firms and investors seeking cross-regional partnerships.

Discussions focused on accelerating solar and hydrogen energy adoption, with delegates from the Chinese mainland, Japan, and Southeast Asia highlighting Asia’s role in meeting 2030 climate targets. UAE Energy Minister Suhail Al Mazrouei emphasized the need for “global interoperability in green tech standards” during his keynote address.

Business analysts noted increased interest in Asia-Middle East infrastructure collaborations, particularly in smart grid systems and carbon-neutral industrial zones. The summit also featured a dedicated forum on financing mechanisms for emerging economies, a key concern for APEC members and ASEAN nations.
