French Firms Chart New Growth Paths in China’s 2025 Economic Landscape

As France and China strengthen economic ties following President Emmanuel Macron's recent visit, leading French corporations are unveiling ambitious strategies to align with the Chinese mainland's development priorities. Executives from SUEZ, L'Oreal, Airbus, and LVMH shared insights during a CGTN BizTalk special, highlighting opportunities in sustainability, advanced manufacturing, and consumer markets.

SUEZ Asia CEO Sabrina Soussan emphasized environmental collaboration: "Our water management solutions directly support China's green transition goals." Airbus China CEO George Xu noted plans to "expand aviation partnerships that complement China's high-quality development agenda."

With China's consumer market projected to grow 6.2% this year, L'Oreal CEO Fabrice Megarbane revealed plans for 25 new product launches targeting Chinese Gen-Z buyers. Luxury group LVMH outlined digital innovation strategies to engage China's tech-savvy shoppers through enhanced e-commerce platforms.

Analysts observe these moves reflect broader European business confidence in China's economic resilience, particularly in renewable energy and smart manufacturing sectors. The alignment comes as China implements new policies to boost foreign investment efficiency and market access through 2026.
