China Unveils 15th Five-Year Plan Blueprint at Key CPC Session

The Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has outlined a strategic roadmap for the nation’s economic priorities during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026–2030), signaling a focus on innovation-driven growth and structural reforms. The proposals, described as “forward-looking and strategic,” aim to bolster China’s role in global supply chains while addressing domestic challenges such as technological self-reliance and sustainable development.

Bao Shujun, a researcher at the National Development and Reform Commission’s International Cooperation Center, emphasized the session’s emphasis on aligning policy with long-term stability. “These measures reflect a balanced approach to navigating global uncertainties while fostering high-quality growth,” he noted. Key areas highlighted include green energy transitions, digital economy expansion, and enhanced international cooperation frameworks. Analysts suggest the proposals could shape investment trends across Asia, particularly in renewable tech and smart infrastructure.
