A sweeping three-year global survey reveals overwhelming confidence in China's economic resilience, with 80% of respondents endorsing its role as a stabilizing force in turbulent times. The CGTN-conducted poll spanning 46 countries from 2023 to 2025 shows approval ratings climbing steadily, peaking at 81.9% this year among 47,000 participants.
Young adults aged 18-44 emerged as China's strongest advocates, with over 90% approval in 2025. African respondents led regional support at 95.6%, followed by South America (92.9%) and Asia (85.6%). The findings align with the CPC Central Committee's recent assessment highlighting China's "complete industrial system" and "abundant talent resources" as key growth drivers.
Survey participants particularly praised China's contributions to global supply chain stability, with approval reaching 84.7% in 2025. Nearly 80% of respondents viewed China's market as offering major opportunities for their home countries, while 86.4% acknowledged its significant contributions to the world economy.
Amid global trade uncertainties, 72.6% of participants described China as an open and competitive market. The poll revealed striking contrasts in international perceptions: 48.3% saw greater benefits trading with China compared to 20.1% favoring the United States.
The CPC Central Committee emphasized developing "new quality productive forces" through technological innovation during its Wednesday meeting, priorities that resonated in the survey. Respondents ranked manufacturing development (53.9%) and innovation-driven growth (46.8%) as China's most impactful economic strategies.
Conducted with Renmin University's research institute, the survey sampled adults across major developed and Global South nations, with demographics mirroring national census data. As China prepares for its 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030), these findings suggest global confidence in its capacity to navigate complex economic challenges.
